24/7 emergency drainage callouts

Drains do not fail at a convenient hour. Sewage backing up into a bathroom, a chamber overflowing across a garden, a commercial kitchen that cannot trade in the morning, all of it wants somebody out now rather than on Tuesday. The phone is answered at night, at weekends and on bank holidays, and you get a straight answer on the phone about when we can be there.

Every drainage emergency, covered

The phone gets answered

A 24/7 line that goes to an answering service is not a 24/7 service. Ring and you get somebody who can tell you what it is likely to be, what to do in the meantime and when we can actually be with you, rather than a promise of a call back.

Told what to do while you wait

Stop using the water in the property, which sinks are safest to leave alone, where the water will go next, whether it is worth lifting a cover yourself. Ten minutes of the right advice on the phone can stop a bad night becoming an insurance claim.

Fully equipped, first visit

Rods, jetter, camera and wet vacuum all on the van, so an emergency does not turn into a first visit to look and a second visit to fix. Most callouts are cleared, checked and cleaned up in the one go.

A price before we set off

You get told what the callout costs and what the likely figure is before we get in the van, not once we are standing in your hallway at midnight. Emergencies are exactly where nobody should be surprised by a bill.

Questions

Asked and answered

Do you really answer the phone at night?

Yes. Nights, weekends and bank holidays. If it rings out, which happens occasionally when we are already down a chamber, leave a message and it gets picked up rather than left to the morning.

What counts as a drainage emergency?

Sewage coming back into a property, a chamber or toilet overflowing, a drain flooding across a garden or into a garage, and any commercial premises that cannot trade because of it. If you are not sure whether yours qualifies, ring and ask. We would rather tell you honestly that it can wait until morning than charge you a night rate for something that could.

How much more does an out of hours callout cost?

There is a callout charge for out of hours work and you will be told what it is on the phone before we leave. Nothing about the price should be a surprise when we arrive, and nothing gets added afterwards without you being told why first.

How quickly can you get here?

Across Southampton, Romsey and the surrounding villages it is usually well inside a couple of hours and often a good deal quicker. You get a realistic time on the phone rather than an optimistic one, because sitting in with an overflowing drain waiting for somebody who said thirty minutes is its own kind of misery.

What should I do before you arrive?

Stop running water into the system: no washing machine, no dishwasher, no showers, and avoid flushing if the toilet is the fitting backing up. Keep people and pets away from anything that has come out. If it is safe to do so, move what you can off the floor. We will talk you through the rest on the phone.
